Entry from the driveway to the breezeway. The breezeway is between the main house and the garage. It was works like a giant mudroom with epoxy floors that are resistant to all the outdoor stuff that comes in on wheeled devices. It’s a great place to swap your outdoor gear for indoor gear. The laundry room is located at the far end. A door from the laundry room opens to the backyard, patio and gardens.
Enter the house from the driveway through double doors with no threshold.
Ramp to main house on right. Primary entry to driveway through double wide doors.
The breezeway floor has plenty of space for transfers. The slightly rough epoxy finish catches water, mud, and snow that might be tracked in on wheeled devices without becoming too slick.
French doors at the far end of the breezeway lead to the laundry room.
The laundry room has a washer and dryer and wall-hung utility sink. There's a narrow caregiver door that enters the primary bathroom. This is one of the few doors in the house that we were unable to make wheelchair accessible.
The laundry room is spacious enough to accommodate furniture or dry racks or mobility devices.
A wide, no threshold door leads directly from the laundry room to the back patio and pergola.
Patio, pergola, and private garden beyond door.
